I need to move this website over to my new upstream hosting provider, Tubu.net, but the biggest issue I have is that most of the subsections on this site need Windows to run (as they are built in ASP). Only Postcards was one of the first websites I ever built and I’m quite reluctant to throw it all away. It’s like an old pair of UGG boots, they look terrible, you know you need to change them, but they’re just so comfortable you don’t really want to. But just like baby clothes, you eventually grow out of them and have to switch to something else.
One option is to try and see if I could run the sites on Chillisoft‘s ASP implementation. It’s ASP for Linux boxes but I’m really not sure how it will perform. I guess the best way to find out would be to try it out. I’ll keep you posted.
