Dealing with clients

I was speaking to a friend of mine who was having a hard day and he was going on about how some clients are harder to deal with than others. He was doing a job in a hotel in Las Vegas and was getting all sorts of stick from the boss’s PA. The man in charge seemed to be happy, but his PA was a real pitbull and just wouldn’t let go. In the end he just walked out and didn’t finish the job!

Sometimes client don’t realise that you’re just trying to get a job done and whining away at you isn’t going to help the job get finished sooner. Luckily there are tools like remote access and automated OS recovery products that can make things easier for you as they reduce the pain of solving a client’s problem.

  1. Clients are not all whiners. Some are discreet and understanding enough when they complain because they knew that service people are doing everything they can to address the problem. It is not anybody’s fault if things got out of hand. A bad day often turns good for me whenever I meet a customer who complains with a smile.
