Well, it’s my birthday next month and if I had to choose anything to find under my Birthday tree (now that’s an idea, how about a Birthday Tree?), I probably would go for an iPad now. It’s a cool piece of kit and I’m sure the whole family would love it. I wonder if you could fit iphone 4 accessories to it, because I know there are loads out there.

Thing is, my new gadget this year was my Nexus 1, which I still love,so I’m not really sure I can justify a new gadget this year.

So, what’s your gadget of the year?

It’s a controller-less system for the xbox 360 that let you use your complete body to control the actions of your character on-screen. It incorporates a bunch of other features too, like facial recognition, voice recognition and the ability to scan real life objects to include them in the game.

It’s a great vision of what we can have in the future and hopefully every day brings us closer to having this available in the wild for us to play with.

It doesn’t matter if you offer discounts or online coupons, if the product doesn’t quite work, then people won’t buy it; and then it’s back to the drawing board.

The best bit of the phone is the way I’m always connected wherever I go. I an be looking up directions to the nearest Tesco store or reading apidexin reviews; thanks to my 3G connection I can dig out any information I want wherever I am. It’s changed the way I interact with the world!

It’s funny how computers have made their way into fashion. You can even get some brands that offer a variety of patterned and artistic for your laptop. Personally, I’d settle for one in a bamboo case. I’m sure I saw one of those around.

I shouldn’t need any life insurance to fly this one, so what’s stopping me? Well, I guess with 2 babies we’ll need 2 of them, and while Alexander would enjoy one, I’m not sure if Aristea would think it’s up her street. I’m pretty sure she’d try to eat the bib the way things are going …

My favourite gadget at the moment is my new phone, the Google Nexus One, which I’ve only had for a few days. But it did get me thinking about running a survey about what people’s favourite devices are. Is it your PS3, or maybe your ls4278 or maybe even your mobile satellite phone. It’s funny how we get different devices at different times and different things, some are more suited to one thing and some to another. And it’s amazing how new devices are developed and come out of the blue. I think it’s great to keep a watch on new devices and their effect on people’s lives.

Well, Arthur’s DS is well and truly dead, I never managed to get it up and running again, so we decided to get him a DSi. It’s a much better device anyway, with Wifi connectivity and a couple of webcams. I didn’t have any whole life insurance for it, so we went out and bought a new device. No fighting with insurance companies, but we’ll probably put it up on eBay and see what we can get for it.

Well, Arthur has his games machine now, so he’s as pleased as punch!
